With three rows of seating, a host of features, and a commanding appearance on the road, it's not surprising that the Toyota Innova Hycross continues to command a significantly long waiting period in India. In terms of the mechanicals, it comes with a powerful petrol engine and a hybrid drivetrain. The price range of the MPV starts at Rs 18.86 lakh for the base variant and goes up to Rs 30.26 lakh for the top-spec version. Both figures are ex-showroom. In comparison to the petrol variants, the hybrid versions of the model have the longest waiting duration, as of now. Toyota Innova Hycross: Variants and Powertrain
The Toyota Innova Hycross is available in five different trim levels: G, GX, VX, ZX, and ZX (O). It is based on Toyota's New Global Architecture (TNGA). Under the hood is a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, powerful hybrid fifth-gen TNGA engine as well as a standard 2.0-litre petrol engine. These units are mated to an electric CVT and a regular CVT transmission, respectively. The hybrid model's fuel efficiency is 21.1km/l, which is probably the best in class. In addition to the engine, the Innova Hycross incorporates two electric motors. The first motor propells the car forward using electrical power. Meanwhile, the second, or larger, motor feeds power to the primary engine in addition to charging the battery pack through regenerative braking. The Innova Hycross has a 0 to 100km/h acceleration time of 9.5 seconds.
Toyota Innova Hycross: Colour Options and Features Onboard
Based on the TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) platform, the Innova Hycross is available in several exterior colour options that include Super White, Platinum White Pearl, Silver Metallic, Attitude Black Mica, Sparkling Black Pearl Crystal Shine, Avant Garde Bronze Metallic, and Blackish Ageha Glass Flake.
Moving on to the features, the Toyota Innova Hycross is equipped with a 10-inch dashboard-mounted touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, multi-zone climate control, an electric tailgate, and a nine-speaker JBL audio system. Moreover, the middle row of the MPV is electrically powered.
