Toyota Hyryder: Powertrain Options
When paired with an eCVT gearbox, the 1.5-litre TNGA Atkinson Cycle engine in the Toyota SUV produces 92bhp of maximum power and 122Nm of peak torque. Notably, a 117.6V lithium-ion battery powers the system. The engine and electric motor make 114bhp combined, with the motor adding 79bhp and 141Nm of torque. The manufacturer says the powerful hybrid drivetrain achieves a fuel efficiency of 27.97km/l. An additional drivetrain option for the Hyryder is a mild hybrid setup. Its 1.5-litre K15C engine is the same as the Ertiga and Brezza. The torque converter automatic transmission with six speeds or the manual gearbox with five speeds can be mated to the Neo Drive motor. This yields a peak torque of 137Nm and a maximum power output of 103bhp.
