Toyota Kirloskar Motor has updated the pricing of its Glanza hatchback this month, leading to an increase of up to Rs 9,000. This premium offering, derived from the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, now starts at Rs 6.90 lakh for the base-spec model, while the top-of-the-line model carries a price tag of Rs 10 lakh. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom figures. Available in four trims – E, S, G, and V – the Toyota Glanza is offered in both petrol and CNG versions. While most variants have seen a uniform price rise of Rs 4,000, the AMT-equipped S and G trims have experienced a steeper hike of Rs 9,000. Meanwhile, the pricing of the fully loaded V AMT variant remains unchanged.
Toyota Glanza: Exterior and Powertrain Specifications
The Toyota Glanza shares its core design with the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, though Toyota introduced certain revisions to distinguish the two models. These alterations primarily focus on the front fascia, where the grille, fog lamp housing, and air dam have been redesigned. Additionally, the alloy wheels exhibit a distinct design compared to those on the Baleno.

Under the hood, the Glanza is powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine, available with a factory-fitted CNG kit. The petrol variant is paired with either a five-speed manual transmission or an AMT unit, delivering a maximum power output of 89bhp and peak torque of 113Nm in standard mode. Meanwhile, the CNG version, equipped with a manual gearbox, generates 76bhp and a torque of 98.5Nm.
Toyota Glanza: Interior Features, Safety Package, and Market Competitors
Inside, the Toyota Glanza mirrors the feature set of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno. It comes equipped with a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 360-degree camera, a head-up display, voice command functionality, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, and cruise control.
On the safety front, the hatchback is well-equipped with features such as ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, vehicle stability control (VSC), hill hold assist (exclusive to AMT variants), and six airbags, ensuring a comprehensive safety suite.

In the Indian automotive market, the Toyota Glanza competes directly with established hatchbacks such as the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Tata Altroz, and the Hyundai i20.
