Top 5 Best-selling Two-wheeler Brands in November 2024: Hero MotoCorp, Honda, TVS and More

Hero MotoCorp maintained its top position, selling 4.40 lakh units in November 2024. It was followed by Honda (4.33 lakh units).

Hero MotoCorp dominated the Indian two-wheeler market in November 2024, surpassing rivals such as Honda, TVS, and Bajaj. The company also made headlines at EICMA 2024 with the debut of its premium motorcycle range (Xpulse 210, Xtreme 250R, Karizma XMR 250) and the electric VIDA Z scooter. With the year nearing its end, let's see the November sales figures for the top 5 two-wheeler brands.

Hero MotoCorp

Despite retaining its top position with 4.40 lakh units sold, Hero's dominance was challenged by Honda, who sold only 7,000 units less. The Splendor Plus manufacturer saw a 7.67% drop in sales year-over-year compared to November 2023, when it sold 4.76 lakh units. In contrast to October’s strong sales of 6.57 lakh units, the decline was even sharper at 33.10%.

Honda trailed Hero closely with 4.33 lakh units in November 2024. It experienced a 21.74% year-over-year decline from October's sales of 5.53 lakh units. However, compared to November 2023's 4.21 lakh units, the company saw a 2.90% increase year-on-year.

Honda made its debut in the Indian electric vehicle market with two scooters: the Activa e: and the QC1. The Activa e: is the electric version of the popular Activa, featuring swappable batteries, while the QC1 is a fixed-battery scooter designed for short commutes. Bookings for both scooters will open on January 1, 2025, while deliveries will commence in February. Prices for the scooter have not been announced yet. 

TVS

TVS secured the third spot with 3.05 lakh units sold, a 6.34% year-over-year increase from November 2023's 2.87 lakh units. However, on a month-on-month basis, the company witnessed a 21.84% decline. At its recent MotoSoul event, TVS showcased its updated Ronin and the new RT-XD4 engine.

Bajaj maintained its fourth position with 2.04 lakh units sold. This represents a 6.86% year-on-year decline compared to November 2023's 2.19 lakh units. The month-on-month fall was more significant at 20.43%.

Bajaj recently slashed prices of its first CNG bike, the Freedom 125, by Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000. The bike is now available at Rs 89,997 for the base Drum variant and Rs 95,002 for the mid-spec Drum LED variant. The price of the top-end Disc LED variant stays unchanged at Rs 1.10 lakh. These are ex-showroom figures. 

Suzuki

Suzuki ranked as the fifth best-selling two-wheeler brand in November 2024, with 78,333 units sold. This was an increase of 7.11% compared to 73,135 units sold in November 2023. However, compared to October 2024’s sales of 1.05 lakh units, the company saw a 25.35% decline.
