Strengthening its position as the market leader in the electric vehicle segment in India, Tata Motors has successfully sold more than 1 lakh units across the country. The Indian automotive company crossed the 1 lakh electric vehicle sales mark in a span of 5 years. The company claims that it sold about 10,000 units in 44 months, the subsequent 40,000 EVs in 15 months, and the remaining 50,000 products in the last 9 months alone. Tata attributed its sales growth to the Tiago EV, the Tigor EV, and the Nexon EV, with the new Tiago EV becoming the best-seller in the country within a year of its launch in September 2022. More than 19,000 units of the Tiago EV have been delivered to its customers since the company commenced deliveries in January 2023.

Besides, the Tata Nexon EV accounted for more than 50,000 sales since its launch in January 2020. The electric crossover is one of the most popular products in India, with its pricing standing between Rs 14.49 lakh and Rs 17.19 lakh (ex-showroom).
