Thar, Scorpio-N, XUV700 and More Fuel Mahindra's YoY Domestic Sales Growth to 24% in September

In September, Mahindra & Mahindra reported a significant 24% year-on-year (YoY) growth in its domestic sales, driven by the strong performance of several key models. The Thar, Scorpio-N, and XUV700 played a pivotal role in boosting sales, reflecting the increasing consumer demand for these popular SUVs. Mahindra's focus on delivering innovative features, robust design, and strong off-road capabilities has helped the company capture a larger share of the market. Additionally, the consistent appeal of its utility vehicles (UV) has further solidified Mahindra's position as a dominant player in India's automotive industry.

Mahindra Sales Figures: September 2024

The company recorded notable sales growth, achieving a 24% year-on-year (YoY) increase in the passenger vehicle (PV) segment. Total sales volumes reached 87,839 units. The homegrown carmaker sold 51,062 units domestically in the utility vehicles (UV) category, up from 41,267 units in September 2023, marking a 24% YoY rise. The company also performed well in the commercial vehicle (CV) segment, with electric three-wheeler sales reaching 10,044 units in September 2024, compared to 7,921 units the previous year. In the LCV and MHCV categories, Mahindra posted sales of 23,706 units. Additionally, overall exports increased to 3,027 units, reflecting a 25% rise from 2,419 units in September last year.

Commenting on the brand's latest sales performance, Veejay Nakra, President of, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd. said, 'We sold 51,062 SUVs in September, a growth of 24% and 87,839 total vehicles, a growth of 16%. Thar Roxx 4x4 Gets New Interior Theme

Following the full-price reveal of the Thar Roxx 4x4, Mahindra has introduced a new interior option called Mocha Brown for the off-road SUV. This decision came after customer feedback pointed out the difficulty of maintaining the Ivory interior, especially for families with children. Priced the same as the Ivory option, the Mocha Brown interior offers an alternative, giving customers more choices based on their preferences. Both interiors feature premium leatherette seats and a colour-coordinated theme for added elegance. The deliveries of the Ivory variant start this month and the Mocha Brown in January 2025. The Mocha Brown interior is exclusive to the 4x4 variants.
