The Tata Xenon Yodha has been launched in BSIII and BSIV trims with a 4x4 option
Tata Motors has kick-started launches galore in 2017 with the introduction of the Xenon Yodha. The updated Xenon pick-up is priced at Rs 6.05 lakh for the BSIII variant and Rs 6.19 lakh for the BSIV trim. Gracing the launch event was Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, who has recently been signed as the brand ambassador of Tata’s commercial vehicle business.
Both the variants of the Tata Xenon Yodha are plonked with the tried and tested 3.0-litre in-line four-cylinder diesel motor. In the BSIII version, this unit makes 72bhp and 223Nm while the BSIV iteration puts out peak power of 85bhp and max torque of 250Nm. The Xenon Yodha has a payload capacity of 1,250 kilos, thanks to which it can be widely used for various commercial applications. Tata has also fitted it with 16-inch radial tyres to ensure that it has that much-needed go-anywhere personality. In fact, it even comes with a 4x4 option. Further, to give the Xenon Yodha the rigidity to match its ruggedness, Tata has reinforced the suspension and the drivetrain. In terms of safety, the Xenon Yodha comes with anti-roll bars, crumple zones, retractable seat belts and a collapsible steering column.
The Tata Xenon Yodha comes with a first-in-class Annual Maintenance Contract service package of 3 years / 1,00,000km and an assured warranty of 3 years or 3,00,000km. While this is the first Tata product to be launched in 2017, there is a lot to come this year including the Hexa, Kite 5, Nexon and the popular lifestyle pick-up Xenon XT.
