Within less than four months of its launch in India, the Tata Tiago EV has delivered 10,000 units. The Tiago, according to a statement from Tata Motors, is not only a market disruptor that provides "premiumness, safety and technology features and an eco-friendly footprint," but it is also an exciting electric trendsetter that offers its users an improved driving experience. It also made it the fastest electric vehicle to reach this milestone in less than four months, as per the Mumbai-based firm. The Tiago EV received 10,000 reservations in just 24 hours and 20,000 bookings by December 2022, making it the "fastest booked EV in India." The EV is said to have traveled to 491 cities across the nation, covering 11.2 million kilometre, and claimed to prevent 1.6 million grams of CO2 emissions.

Tata Tiago EV: Price, Variants, and Rivals
It is available in seven different variants, including the XE, XT, XZ+, and XZ+ Lux versions, as well as additional sub-versions. Starting at Rs 8.69 lakh (ex-showroom), the price ranges all the way up to Rs 11.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The Tata Tigor EV, the MG Comet EV, and the Citroen eC3 are just a few of the models it directly competes against.
Tata Tiago EV: Battery and Charging Details
Coming to the spec details, there are two battery packs available for the Tiago EV: a 19.2kWh and a 24kWh. While the smaller battery produces 60bhp of maximum power and 110Nm of peak torque, the larger battery produces 73bhp and 114Nm. Further, while the higher trims of the Tiago EV have a bigger battery pack and a 315-kilometre MIDC range, the entry-level models have a smaller battery pack and a 250-kilometre MIDC range. The electric hatchback can achieve 0-100kmph in 5.7 seconds with the 24kWh battery pack and 6.2 seconds with the 19.2kWh battery pack.
The home wall box charger for the EV is either 3.3kW or 7.2kW. The Tiago EV charges from 10% to 100% in 6.9 hours for the medium-range variant and 8.7 hours for the long-range variant using a 15A plug point. The medium-range and long-range versions can be fully charged from 10% to 100% in 5.1 hours and 6.4 hours, respectively, using a 3.3kW wall box charger. A 7.2kW charger can charge the medium-range version in 2.6 hours, but it takes 3.6 hours to charge the long-range version from 10% to 100%. It also supports DC charging, which is said to charge from 0% to 80% in 57 minutes. The DC charger further claims that it can extend the range by 110 kilometres in just 30 minutes of charging.

Tata Tiago EV: Feature Set
The Tata Tiago EV has a long list of standard features, including a multi-mode regen, two drive modes (City & Sport), automatic climate control, projector headlamps, cruise control, electric ORVMs with auto fold, auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, an 8-speaker Harman infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and ZConnect connected-tech with 45 connected car features like remote AC on/off with temperature setting, remote vehicle health diagnostics, remote geo-fencing and car location tracking, dynamic charger locator, smart watch connectivity, real-time charge status, etc.
