The Tata Nexon is heading for a generational update for the Indian market. A LED light bar, a fully digital instrument console, and new alloy wheels are some of the features that the upcoming facelift model will include, according to the multiple spy shots that popped up online a couple of days ago. On the sales front, the Nexon SUV has been a significant contributor to the firm's sales almost every year. In a recent development, the car is in the headlines, not only for its upcoming modified version but also for the current long waiting period that stretches up to 15 weeks in July. Mechanically, the SUV is available with two engine choices: a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, diesel engine. Both get a 6-speed manual transmission and 6-speed AMT as transmission options.

Tata Nexon Current Waiting List
The variants with manual transmission in both diesel and petrol lineups have a waiting period of up to 4 weeks. Meanwhile, the AMT versions with the petrol powertrain have a waiting time of up to 10 weeks, while the AMT models with the diesel unit have a peak waiting duration of up to 15 weeks. Tata Nexon EV: The First Electric Car to Cross 50,000 Sales Milestone
Tata Motors offers the electric variant of the Nexon in India. Recently, the company reported that the model surpassed the sales mark of 50,000 units. It also revealed the sales and performance dynamics of the EV in the country. According to Tata Motors, the electric model makes up much to 15% of total Nexon sales and is currently offered in more than 500 Indian cities. The homegrown automaker further announced that the EV has so far traveled more than 900 million kilometre, and the EV users make intercity and outstation excursions averaging between 100 and 400 kilometre, totaling about 6.3 million kilometre in a month. In terms of market competition, the electrified version of the Nexon competes with the MG ZS EV, the Hyundai Kona Electric, and others in India.
