In the past few months, Tata Motors has launched several updated models in India, which include the Nexon, Nexon.ev, Harrier, and Safari. The ICE-based Nexon and the electrified Nexon were the first two SUVs to hit the market, with starting prices of Rs 8.10 lakh and Rs 14.74 lakh, respectively. The ICE-powered Nexon's 2023 iteration is currently in high demand in India, with a waiting period of six to eight weeks from the day of booking. It is important to note that the said waiting time applies to Mumbai and may vary depending on several factors. The all-new Nexon is a strong competitor to the Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza and is available in 11 variants – Creative, Creative+, Creative+ S, Fearless, Fearless S, Fearless+ S, Pure, Pure S, Smart, Smart+, and Smart+ S.
The sub-compact SUV has undergone several cosmetic improvements in comparison to the previous model, including new sequential LED DRLs, revamped bumpers, bi-functional LED headlamps, new 16-inch alloy wheels with an aerodynamic design, and more. 2023 Tata Nexon: Powertrain
The Nexon SUV is available with two engine options – a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel mill. The turbo-petrol motor generates a maximum power output of 118bhp and a peak torque of 170Nm, while the diesel unit produces a peak power of 113bhp and a maximum torque of 260Nm. For the turbo-petrol unit, transmission options include a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, 6-speed AMT, and a 7-speed DCT. The diesel engine, on the other hand, is offered with two gearbox choices – a 6-speed AMT and a 6-speed manual.
2023 Tata Nexon: Feature List
The all-new Tata Nexon boasts an array of features, including a new digital instrument cluster, a two-spoke steering wheel, air conditioning, height-adjustable and ventilated front seats, wireless charging, a voice-activated sunroof, and a new 10.25-inch floating infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. For safety, the car gets a 360-degree camera with a blind view monitor, auto headlights with rain-sensing wipers, ABS with EBD, etc.

2023 Tata Nexon: Price and Competitors
The prices for the updated Tata Nexon range from Rs 8.10 lakh to Rs 13 lakh in India. Both are ex-showroom figures. As mentioned, the SUV locks horns with the Mahindra XUV300, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, the Hyundai Venue, and others.
