Tata Motors Total Passenger Vehicle Year-On-Year Sales Drop 1% in November

In November 2023, the company delivered 72,647 vehicles (CV + PV) domestically, representing a decrease of 1% from the 73,467 units sold in the same month the previous year.

Tata Motors has released its sales figures for November 2023. The automaker delivered a total of 46,143 passenger cars, both ICE and EV, during the previous month. This represents a 1% year-on-year decrease compared to the 46,425 PVs sold in the same period in 2022. In the domestic market, Tata Motors supplied 46,068 passenger models. Additionally, the company exported only 75 cars last month, which is a significant drop of 81% in shipments compared to November 2022, where they shipped 388 vehicles. Moving on to electric vehicles, Tata Motors witnessed a 7% YoY increase in sales with 4,761 EVs delivered domestically, as well as, internationally, up from 4,451 units sold in November of last year. Tata Motors Sales November 2023: More Details 

The company recorded total domestic sales (PV + CV) of 72,647 automobiles in November 2023, representing a reduction of 1% from 73,467 units sold during the same month of the last year. In the commercial market, the manufacturer supplied a total of 28,029 units, a decrease of 4% from 29,053 units delivered in November 2022. The Indian auto giant sold 26,576 commercial vehicles domestically, a 3% decrease from the 27,430 units sold in November 2022. Additionally, the company's export section supplied 1,450 CVs, which is a reduction of 11% from 1,623 units dispatched in November of last year. 

Tata Motors Sales October 2023: Key Highlights 

The automaker's passenger vehicle sales in India increased by 7% in October 2023. In the domestic market, the company supplied 48,337 vehicles (ICE and Electric), compared to 45,217 units sold in October 2022. Furthermore, the manufacturer reported that sales of its electric vehicles increased by 28% in October. It sold 5,465 electric vehicles in domestic and international markets, up from 4,277 units shipped in the same time the previous year. In addition, Tata Motors sold 48,637 vehicles overall in October of this year, a rise of 7% over the 45,423 units sold in the same period a year ago.

Tata Motors was one of the top five best-selling automakers in India in October. In the same month, the revamped Harrier and Safari SUVs were launched in India, with starting price tags of Rs 15.49 lakh and Rs 16.19 lakh, respectively (All prices, ex-showroom). Both Tata cars come with a 2-litre diesel engine that produces 168bhp and 350Nm, paired with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox.
