The leading Indian auto manufacturer Tata Motors has announced the opening of Re.Wi.Re, its first Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility (RVSF), in the city of Jaipur. Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, officially inaugurated the facility, which has a 15,000-vehicle annual capacity. The Re.Wi.Re. facility is made to disassemble outdated commercial and passenger vehicles of all brands. The facility has dedicated stations for the safe dismantling of parts like tyres, batteries, fuel, oils, liquids, and gases and is fully digitalised for paperless operations. Each vehicle is carefully inspected for passenger and commercial vehicle requirements before going through a rigorous documentation and disassembly process.
