Tata Harrier sold one lakh units within four years of its debut, a significant sales record. In 2019, Tata introduced the Harrier SUV to the Indian market. The Tata Harrier, one of the first SUVs from the automaker, was released in January 2019 on the OmegaArc platform, which was derived on the D8 platform seen in Jaguar Land Rover SUVs like the Range Rover. In recent years, the SUV has had a number of revisions and new models introduced, including the Dark and Camo Editions. The most recent revision introduced by Tata Motors saw the SUV's Red Dark Edition launched. Prices for the SUV start at Rs 15 lakh and go up to Rs 24.07 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV is available in as many as 19 different trim levels, and it is a five-seater that competes with vehicles like the Hyundai Creta, the Kia Seltos, and the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.

Tata Harrier: Features
The Harrier SUV's newest iteration, the Red Dark Edition, boasts a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, among other things. It has a JBL sound system and is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay through voice commands. As part of this modernization, a 7-inch TFT display was installed in the instrument cluster.

The new Tata Harrier SUV has cutting-edge safety features including the Advanced Driver Assist System (ADAS). The Tata Motors Harrier and Safari are the first vehicles to use this latest technology. Forward and rear collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, door opening alert, rear cross traffic alert, lane change alert, lane departure warning, high beam assist, and traffic sign recognition are the ten ADAS functions available.

Tata Harrier: Engine
Power for the Tata Harrier comes from a 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine and is paired to either a 6-speed manual or an automatic gearbox. It can produce up to 168bhp and 350Nm of torque. The diesel engine has recently undergone upgrades to meet the more rigorous BS6 Phase II emission criteria.
There has been talk of a new 1.5L TGDi direct injection turbo petrol engine for the harrier, in addition to the existing diesel option. First shown at the 2023 Auto Expo, the four-cylinder engine is capable of producing 170bhp at 5,000rpm and 280Nm of torque between 2,000 and 3,500rpm.
