Tata Altroz Waiting Period Goes Up to Six Weeks in India

For those looking to bring home the CNG and petrol versions of the hatchback this September, the waiting period for the same currently stands at around three to four weeks from the day of booking. The diesel version, meanwhile, will require buyers to wait a further two weeks.

The Altroz, a premium hatchback from Tata Motors, recently underwent certain updates. A total of eight trims from the Altroz lineup were discontinued by the Indian automaker, including the XZ Plus Petrol, XZ Plus Petrol Dark Edition, XZ Plus i-Turbo, XZ Plus i-Turbo Petrol Dark Edition, XZA Plus Petrol, XZA Plus Petrol Dark Edition, XZ Plus Diesel, and XZ Plus Diesel Dark Edition. Moreover, rear power windows and remote keyless entry have also been included as standard features of the petrol manual Altroz models by the manufacturer. The ALFA platform, which also serves as the basis for the Punch, is used for the first time by a Tata vehicle with the Altroz. The car has a starting price of Rs 6.60 lakh and can be purchased for up to Rs 10.74 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. High Street Gold, Avenue White, Arcade Grey, Opera Blue, Downtown Red, Harbour Blue, and Cosmo Black (Dark edition) are the available colour options for the hatchback.

Tata Altroz: Waiting Period Details

Speaking of the waiting period details of the Altroz, for those looking to bring home the CNG and petrol versions of the hatchback this September, the waiting period for the same currently stands at around three to four weeks from the day of booking. The diesel version, meanwhile, will require buyers to wait a further two weeks. 

Tata Altroz: Powertrain Options

In terms of powertrain, the Tata Altroz is currently available in CNG, diesel, and gasoline versions. A 1.5-litre diesel engine produces 89bhp of maximum power and 200Nm of peak torque, whereas a 1.2-litre gasoline engine produces 87bhp of peak power and 115Nm of maximum torque. The hatchback, on the other hand, puts out 77bhp and 103Nm of torque when running on CNG. Both a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission are available. To meet the RDE and BS6 Phase 2 emission norms, all of the engines have been modified.

Tata Altroz: New Variants

Tata Motors introduced two new mid-spec Altroz models in the nation in July this year: the XM and XM(S). The pricing of the XM stands at Rs 6.90 lakh, while that of the XM (S) model is Rs 7.35 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. The new XM and XM (S) trims are positioned between the entry-level Altroz XE and the top-spec XM+ trims. 

An upscale dashboard, electrically adjustable and folding ORVMs, R16 full-wheel coverings, and steering-mounted controls are all options for the Altroz XM. However, the XM(S) also includes an electronic sunroof in addition to the above-mentioned features.
