Tata Altroz Racer Showcased at Bharat Mobility Expo

The Altroz Racer concept debuted at the 2023 Auto Expo in a black and red colour scheme. Tata Motors is now working on a significantly modified Altroz, which recently underwent testing in extensive camouflage. The automaker intends to introduce the performance-oriented Altroz Racer to its roster of luxury hatchbacks shortly. It is the first model powered by the ALFA (Agile Light Flexible Advanced) platform. The concept was on display in a new paint scheme at the maiden Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024. The Altroz Racer has been enhanced both internally and externally to differentiate it from the base model. It sports a racecar-inspired look and is essentially a performance-focused version of the brand's flagship hatchback. Along with a striking orange paint job and white roof and hood stripes, the black base paint gives the car a dual-tone look.

The firm has also modified the model's interior, which has all-black leatherette upholstery and red stitching. Besides that, three red and white racing stripes and distinctive Racer badging on the headrests can be seen inside. Furthermore, the gearbox and dashboard get new red inserts. Regarding the engine and transmission, the vehicle will be powered by a Nexon-sourced 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine. With a maximum power output of 118bhp at 5,500rpm and peak torque of 170Nm between 1,750 and 4,000rpm, this unit is impressive enough. Only a six-speed manual transmission will be available.

The vehicle has a ton of features in addition to a powerful engine and fresh exterior components. A 10.25-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, projector headlamps, a 360-degree camera, a seven-inch digital cluster, LED DRLs, rear AC vents, six airbags, ventilated seats, a voice-activated electric sunroof with shark fin antenna, and a wireless charger make up the list of available amenities.
