Suzuki V-Strom 800DE to Arrive in 2024 in India?
At the recently concluded Bharat Mobility Expo in New Delhi, Suzuki displayed the V-Strom 800DE alongside the GSX-8R. The adventure tourer uses a new 776cc, DOHC, parallel-twin engine that produces 82bhp at 8,500rpm and 78Nm of peak torque at 6,800rpm. Like almost all new parallel twin engines, this unit has a 270-degree crankshaft, which the bikemaker claims aids in providing traction along with bottom-end torque for off-road activities.
The V-Strom 800DE features a steel frame chassis, suspended by fully adjustable upside-down front forks and a preload-adjustable rear mono-shock, with 220mm of travel on both ends. The ADV rolls on 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels clothed in Dunlop Trailmax Mixtour slicks.
The motorcycle will likely go on sale in the Indian market sometime in March this year. Being a CKD unit, expect the 800DE to be priced around Rs 11 lakh to Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom).
