Suzuki Motorcycle India Record 24.3% Sales Growth in FY2023

Suzuki Motorcycle India has announced its sales figures for March 2023 and FY23. According to the company, a growth of 49% in sales has been attained in March 2023, compared to the same month last year.

Suzuki Motorcycle India, a manufacturer of two-wheelers, has announced its sales report for March 2023 and FY23. The automaker reported a 49% increase in sales in March, compared to the same month in 2022. In March 2022, SMIPL sold a total of 65,495 units. Coming to the domestic and export sales of March 2023, the firm sold 73,069 units domestically and exported 24,515 units. Further, total sales for the entire fiscal year 2022–23 increased by 24.3% to 9,38,371 units from 754,938 units retailed in the fiscal year that ended on March 31, 2022. In the previous month, Suzuki Motorcycle India unveiled its "New Apparel and Merchandise Collection". According to the firm, motorcycle enthusiasts have responded very favourably to the new selection, which is now offered at all Suzuki Premium two-wheeler dealerships. In FY2023, with the launch of the V-Strom SX, Suzuki Motorcycle India entered the 250cc adventure sports market. The automaker also debuted the eagerly anticipated Katana as well as new colour schemes for the Gixxer 250 series, the Gixxer series, and the Access 125.

Suzuki Motorcycle India 2023 March Sales: What the company has to say?

Sharing his views on the sales performance, Mr. Devashish Handa, Executive Vice President, Sales, Marketing and After Sales, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd. stated, “Suzuki Motorcycle India was able to attain a remarkable sales achievement in March by registering highest ever monthly sales of 97,584 units. This translated to a year-on-year growth of 49% as compared to March 2022.''

He further added ''For the fiscal year 2023, the company registered a double-digit sales growth of 24.3% as compared to the last financial year. This remarkable sales growth indicates the growing popularity of Suzuki's two-wheeler products in the domestic and overseas markets. We are thankful to all our beloved customers, dealer partners, and SMIPL personnel for their support in sustaining this sales momentum.”

Suzuki e-Burgman Electric Scooter Details Revealed Ahead of India Launch

The Suzuki e-Burgman electric scooter will likely launch in the market sometime soon. In terms of appearance, the new e-scooter will reportedly mirror the current petrol-powered Suzuki Burgman Street. According to market reports, the upcoming EV is currently undergoing testing, and multiple images of it enduring the same have surfaced on the internet in the past. Industry sources estimate that the e-scooter will weigh 147 kg. Compared to the Suzuki Burgman Street EX variant, it will weigh 36 kg more. Additionally, it will weigh 28 kg more than the TVS iQube S. It has the same 780mm seat height as the two Burgman models that are presently on the market. As previously mentioned, testing is presently being conducted on the Suzuki e-Burgman electric scooter. According to industry reports, production of the new e-scooter should start shortly.
