Suzuki Motorcycle India reported its highest-ever total monthly sales of 1,20,055 units, marking a year-over-year (YoY) growth of 19 per cent in October 2024 over the same period last fiscal. Last month's domestic sales accounted for 1,04,940 units, while exports stood at 15,115 units. In comparison, the two-wheeler subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation closed October 2023 with cumulative sales of 1,00,057 units, while the domestic sales and exports totalled 84,302 and 16,205 units, respectively. 'This growth reflects our team’s hard work and the trust of our customers as they continue to ride a Suzuki two-wheeler. We will continue to provide exceptional experiences to customers across India', said Kenichi Umeda, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India.

Suzuki GSX-8R Gets Sportbike Styling and Advanced Features
Last month also saw Suzuki launch the GSX-8R middleweight sports bike in India. The GSX-8R blends practical real-world performance, rider-friendly controllability, and advanced features with cutting-edge sportbike styling, setting 'The New Standard of Sport'. The bike comes in three colour ways: Metallic Matte Sword Silver, Metallic Triton Blue, and Metallic Matte Black No.2 at all Suzuki Bike Zones across the country.
Powering the GSX-8R is a 776cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine that develops 81.8bhp at 8,500rpm and 78Nm of peak torque at 6,800rpm. The engine also sends power to the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox, accompanied by an assist-and-slipper clutch. Also available is a 2-in-1 exhaust system.
The GSX-8R is priced at Rs 9.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and goes against the Triumph Daytona 660 and the Kawasaki Ninja 650.
