Kia India sold 22,523 units in August 2024, representing an increase of 3,304 units, or 17.19%, from 19,219 units sold at the same time the previous year. The Sonet remained the best-selling model during this time, with 10,073 units sold. It was accompanied by its siblings, the Seltos, the Carens, and the EV6, which sold 6,536 units, 5,881, and 33 units, respectively. While these three models saw a year-on-year drop of 38.90% (Seltos), 34.92% (Carens), and 21.43% (EV6), respectively, the Sonet experienced a year-on-year increase of 144.49%.
Kia exported 2,604 units in August 2024, demonstrating the continued high demand for its 'Made in India' products globally.

Kia India July 2024 Sales: A Quick Recap
Kia delivered 20,507 units in the domestic market in July 2024, showing a 2.5% year-on-year increase. The Sonet was the top-selling model, with 9,459 units sold, followed by the Carens (5,679 units) and the Seltos (5,347 units). Globally, the automaker sold 2,500 vehicles during that time.
Other Developments
Kia has launched a subscription plan for its product line, which includes the Seltos, Carens, Sonet, and EV6. The 'Kia Subscribe' is a short-term leasing solution for salaried and self-employed individuals, with rental periods ranging from 12 to 36 months. It builds on the popularity of the Lease program that debuted three months ago, with flexible mileage options and rental periods ranging from 24 to 60 months.

In other news, Kia is expected to launch the updated Carnival and the new EV9 on October 3, 2024, in India. Price-wise, the former may start at Rs 40 lakh, while the latter could sell for Rs 80 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom.
