Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Achieves 40% Export Growth in 2024
Skoda Auto Volkswagen India exported 53,098 cars to over 26 countries in 2024, with key markets in North America, Africa, ASEAN, and AGCC.

Skoda Auto Volkswagen India (SAVWIPL) has increased its exports, with 40 per cent of its India-made cars now shipped to over 26 countries in 2024. This marks a 20 per cent increase from last year, following a 38 per cent growth in 2023. SAVWIPL has exported 44,248 units in 2023, and with a 20 per cent rise, the number reached around 53,098 in 2024. Key export markets include North America, Africa, the ASEAN region, and the Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (AGCC). Popular models like the Volkswagen Virtus, Taigun, Polo and Skoda Kushaq continue to drive global demand.
SAVWIPL also plans to expand its vehicle lineup in India with new launches. Volkswagen will soon launch the Taigun R-line, Golf GTI, and ID.4 electric SUV. Skoda continues to sell the Kodiaq, Kushaq, and Slavia, with an updated Kodiaq expected to launch soon.

SAVWIPL has also expanded its exports by shipping parts and components to Vietnam. Its Parts Expedition Centre in Pune helps with local vehicle assembly, boosting India’s manufacturing role.

By using India’s strategic location, SAVWIPL grows beyond fully built cars. This move strengthens its presence in Vietnam and improves production efficiency.
