Scorpio, Bolero, 3XO, and More PVs Help Mahindra Register 23% YoY Sales Growth in June

Mahindra has released its sales data for the month of June 2024. The carmaker sold 40,022 PVs in the domestic market, marking a YoY increase of 23%.

Mahindra saw significant demand for its passenger vehicles in June 2024. It sold 40,022 PVs in the domestic market last month, up 23% from 32,588 vehicles delivered in the same period in 2023. The Scorpio N, XUV700, and the newly launched XUV 3XO contributed to this sales success. In the first six months of 2024, the company experienced growth of 24%, selling 1,24,248 SUVs in the home market. It shipped 7,125 units internationally during this period, representing a 3% increase. Mahindra also reported total sales of 69,397 units (PV and CV) in June, indicating a rise of 11%.

Sharing his thoughts on the sales, Veejay Nakra, President, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd., said 'We sold a total of 40022 SUVs in June, a growth of 23% and 69397 total vehicles, an 11% growth over last year. June has been a momentous month, as we rolled out the 200,000th XUV700 from our facility. We also celebrated 25 years of Bolero Pik-Ups, a category creator and a market leader in the LCV segment.'

Mahindra Sales May 2024: A Quick Recap

The company supplied 43,218 PVs in India in May, representing a year-on-year rise of 31.42% from the 32,886 units sold the previous year. With exports included, it sold 44,283 vehicles overall. The company's month-over-month sales rose by 5.39%, while year-to-date sales  (April-May) increased by 25%. With 19,826 units sold in the domestic market, commercial vehicles also contributed to the achievement.

Recent Developments

Mahindra reached an important milestone with the production of the 2,00,000th XUV700. The SUV took almost three years (33 months) to attain this milestone since its launch in India in August 2021. It crossed the production mark for the first one lakh units in 21 months, and the remaining one lakh units in 12 months.

To commemorate the milestone, Mahindra added two new exterior paint job options to the existing colour palette: Deep Forest and Burnt Sienna. The SUV is priced between Rs 13.99 lakh and Rs 26.99 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. It competes with the Tata Safari, the MG Hector Plus, and the Hyundai Creta
