Royal Enfield has made available its October sales numbers to the public. With 84,435 motorcycles sold in the previous month, the Indian two-wheeler manufacturer experienced a 3% increase in overall monthly sales. In contrast, 82,235 units were sold by the company in October 2022. The Bullet 350, and the Super Meteor 650 are among the models that the company currently sells in the country. The much-anticipated new Royal Enfield Himalayan will be the most recent motorcycle to join this lineup, scheduled for launch on November 7. Returning to sales, Royal Enfield delivered 80,958 vehicles in the domestic market, compared to 76,528 units sold in the same month the previous year, representing a 6% year-over-year rise. Last month, the manufacturer did not fare well in the export category, resulting in a 39% drop. The automaker shipped only 3,477 vehicles overseas, compared to 5,707 units in the same month last year. Here are some further updates on the sales and other developments.

Royal Enfield October 2023 Sales: Year-to-Date Sales
According to year-to-date data, Royal Enfield shipped 541,421 units between April and October 2023, a 13% increase over the 4,77,204 units sold during the same period the previous year. Domestic sales increased by 19% to 4,97,845 units in the final nine months of 2023 from 4,17,237 vehicles shipped in the same period last year. The company's overseas car shipments were 43,576, a 27% decline from the 59,967 units exported in the same period in the previous year.

Royal Enfield Himalayan: Key Highlights
As already mentioned, the upcoming Himalayan will make its entry into our market on November 7. The new Himalayan features a high-set LED headlamp, a beak fender, a compact tail section with split seats, and more. The 'Himalayan' logo is visible on the front mudguard, and the Himalayan graphics are seen on the fuel tank, side panel, and rear fender. The bike's wheels should measure 21-inch in the front and 17-inch in the back. Mechanically, the upcoming Himalayan from Royal Enfield will have a 452cc liquid-cooled engine. At 8,000rpm, the motor produces 39.57bhp of maximum power, mated to a six-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch.
