Royal Enfield has taken a significant step in its global expansion strategy by inaugurating its first standalone motorcycle assembly plant outside India. Situated in Samut Prakan, Bangkok, Thailand, the new 57,000 sq. ft. facility is designed to produce over 30,000 motorcycles annually, catering to the surging demand in Southeast Asia. As Thailand emerges as Royal Enfield's largest market in Asia after India, this local production hub will play a crucial role in meeting the region's growing appetite for iconic Royal Enfield motorcycles. In addition to the Thailand plant, the brand operates CKD assembly facilities in key markets such as Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Bangladesh, and Nepal, further solidifying its international presence.
Speaking at the inauguration of the new facility, Royal Enfield CEO, B Govindarajan, said: 'Royal Enfield has been working extensively to grow the middleweight motorcycling segment globally. We have seen great reception from the international audience who are looking for motorcycles that are accessible and are a unique extension of their personality.
