Renault has been a popular choice for anyone looking to make a purchase in the sub-4 metre segment. If we consider its sales data for 2022, the French carmaker reported a year-on-year decline of 9 per cent in domestic sales. Not just this, Renault India saw sales de-growth across most months during 2022 owing to its lacklustre performance. But now, the carmaker has crossed the 9 lakh sales milestone in India. Renault laid the foundation over a decade ago, and ever since then, it has pushed the boundaries of innovation and excellence by launching its cars with industry-first advanced safety features. According to the company, several factors have contributed to its sales growth, including an innovative product portfolio, commitment to customer satisfaction, an expansive network, a rural-focused strategy, and pioneering marketing initiatives. Right now, the company has 3 models on sale in India, including the Renault Kwid, the Kiger, and the Triber.

In addition, Renault is also gearing up to bring back the Duster SUV in the country, if we go by some industry reports. Around 2 months back, the Duster was spotted doing testing rounds in the country, ahead of its India launch in 2025. As confirmed by Renault, it will be made in-house. The Duster was a runaway success when the SUV was introduced in India. After the demand for the compact SUV phased off, the Renault Kiger, which is a relatively smaller sub-4 metre SUV, gained immense popularity.
