Renault Megane e-Tech EV Spied Testing in India

In other news, the Renault Megane e-Tech was recently spotted testing in India. The Megane e-Tech, which is available in many European markets, competes with cars like the Hyundai Kona Electric. Several industry reports state that the company imported this specific model for use and internal testing. Although there have been early rumours suggesting an India debut, details are still unknown at this time.

Retractable door handles, aero-optimised wheels, a pair of sleek LED taillights connected by a light bar, and swept-back LED headlights with LED DRLs are some of the design elements of the Megane e-Tech. As you go inside the cabin, the automaker's OpenR display greets you with an L-shaped screen that includes a 12.3-inch instrument display and a 12-inch portrait touchscreen infotainment unit.

In terms of powertrain options, the model offers versatility with its two distinct 40kWh and 60kWh battery pack configurations. Furthermore, it has a 470-kilometre driving range, depending on the type of battery. Both units develop 130bhp of maximum power and 250Nm of peak torque and 216bhp of power and 300Nm of torque, respectively. Currently, Renault is using the CMF-A EV platform to build an entry-level electric vehicle. In addition, the French carmaker is getting ready for the launch of the eagerly awaited 2025 Duster. Market rivals of the E-Tech include the Hyundai Kona Electric, the Mini Cooper SE, and the Kia Niro EV. It is primarily targeted at the European market.
