Tata Motors-owned Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) India has released its sales figures for the first quarter of the financial year 2025, clocking over 30 percent year-over-year (YoY) growth. The automaker sold 1,371 units compared to the same period of the last financial year ending March 2024 (1,048 units). Furthermore, JLR said its wholesale volumes grew over 45 percent year-over-year in Q1 FY2025, creating record sales for the automaker.
JLR attributed this growth to its Defender and Range Rover lineups. The Defender along with the Range Rover Evoque accounted for over 50 percent sales growth, with the former emerging as the highest-selling model in Q1 FY2025. Moreover, the combined sales of the Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, and Defender made up 75 percent of the company's total order book.
