Ola Electric has announced a Rs 20,000 discount on its S1 X+ electric scooter, reducing its price to Rs 90,000, the same as the base-spec Ola S1 X. Prices are ex-showroom, India. With this, the top-spec Ola S1 X+ is now more affordable than earlier; however, this new price is applicable till December 31, 2023.
In August 2023, Ola launched the S1 X, the EV company's new entry-level product, in three configurations, with prices ranging from Rs 90,000 for the base-spec S1 X with a 2kWh battery pack to Rs 1.10 lakh (price at the time of launch) for the range-topper S1 X+ with a 3kWh battery capacity. The mid-spec Ola S1 X variant is priced between these two, which comes with a larger 3kWh battery and costs Rs 1 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.

Ola S1 X+: Battery, Range
All three variants of the S1 X lineup are based on the brand’s cutting-edge Gen 2 EV platform which is likely to spawn other upcoming Ola electric vehicles. That said, the S1 X+ comes powered by a 3kWh lithium-ion battery pack yielding an IDC-claimed range of 151 kilometres on a single charge. In Eco mode, the range is rated at 125 kilometres.
This 3kWh lithium-ion battery is mated to a 6kW electric motor, resulting in a claimed top speed of 90km/h and a 0-40km/h sprint in 3.3 seconds. Ola claims that the charging time for the electric scooter is 7.4 hours using a 500W portable charger.
Ola S1 X+: Cycle Parts
The Ola S1 X range gets the same hardware as the S1 Air. These are 12-inch steel rims, combi brake systems, conventional drum brakes at both ends, telescopic front forks, as well as dual shock absorbers attached to a double-sided swingarm at the rear. Given the fact that it is based on Ola's new Gen2 platform, the S1 X+ comes with a flat floorboard for added convenience.
Ola S1 X+: Features
In comparison to the other two versions in the S1 X lineup, the S1 X+ gets OTA updates, Bluetooth/GPS connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, music control, remote boot lock/unlock, cruise control, predictive maintenance, and Ola app management. Other bits are 3 riding modes (Eco, Normal, and Sport), reverse mode, a 34-litre boot space, circular mirrors, a digital key, a unique headlamp cowl, a flat seat, and two cubbyholes in the front apron.
While the deliveries for the S1 Pro Gen 2 have already begun in more than 100 cities across the country, Ola Electric is yet to deliver the first unit of the S1 X electric scooter. Speaking of the S1 Pro Gen 2, the Bengaluru-based EV maker updated its flagship scooter and, as a result, the S1 Pro Gen 2 costs Rs 1.48 lakh (ex-showroom). With a 4kWh battery pack, the electric scooter has a claimed real-world riding range of 180 kilometres on a single charge.
