Ola Electric has rolled out the MoveOS 5 software update at its launch event named Sankalp 2024; however, the update will be available in beta to its users by this Diwali through an OTA (over-the-air) update. MoveOS 5 is the latest iteration of Ola's operating platform enabling its electric scooters to keep getting updated over time. It is said to be the company's biggest release yet.
With MoveOS 5, the newly launched Ola Roadster line-up – Roadster, X, and Pro – gets several advanced features. The X, which is the entry point to the Roadster family, brings in advanced regen, Ola Maps Navigation (turn-by-turn), TPMS alerts, OTA updates, cruise control, DIY mode, and riding modes (Sport, Normal, Eco). The bike also features Digital Key Unlock and Ola Electric App connectivity. Other bits include disc brakes and CBS (Combi Braking System). Priced from Rs 75,000 to Rs 1 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom), the Roadster X is available in three configurations: 2.5kWh, 3.5kWh, and 4.5kWh.

Next up is the Roadster. The Ola Roadster gets a 7.0-inch TFT display powered by MoveOS 5, in turn offering proximity unlock, tamper alert, cruise control, and party mode, along with AI-backed features like Krutrim AI, a road trip planner, and a smartwatch app. It also comes with disc brakes, advanced single-channel ABS, cornering ABS, brake-by-wire, and four ride modes (Hyper, Sport, Normal and Eco). Starting at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.05 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom), the Roadster can be had in three variants (3.5kWh, 4.5kWh, and 6kWh).
Ola Roadster Pro: MoveOS 5 Features
The most powerful model in the line-up, the Roadster Pro, has a bigger 10.0-inch TFT console running on MoveOS 5. Being the range-topping model, the Pro allows users to make use of three-level traction control, access controls (geo-fencing, time-fencing, mode-fencing), integrated ride modes (Race, Urban, Rain, Off-road), and ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems). Advanced race-track features, including Race Mode, Anti-Wheely, and Stoppie modes, also form part of the new software update.

The Ola Roadster Pro comes in two configurations – 8kWh and 16kWh. The former is priced at Rs 2 lakh, while the latter sets you back by Rs 2.50 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom). With this bike, buyers also get dual-channel ABS, upside-down suspension, and four ride modes (Hyper, Sport, Normal and Eco).
