Ola Electric Sells Over 37,000 Units in May 2024, Records 6.26℅ YoY Growth
Ola Electric retails the S1 X, S1 Air and S1 Pro scooters in its India lineup, with prices starting as low as Rs 74,999 (ex-showroom).
Continuing to lead India's EV (electric vehicle) transition efforts in the two-wheeler segment, Ola Electric has stunned other original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) by delivering 37,191 units to customers in May 2024. According to the data available on the Vahan website, Ola registered a 6.26 per cent year-on-year growth last month over the same period last year (May 2023: 35,000+ units). Having an overwhelming lead over its rivals (TVS, Ather, Bajaj), Ola holds a 49 per cent market share in the segment as of May 2024.
This comes on the back of Ola Electric's strong product lineup, which comprises the S1 Pro, the S1 Air, and the S1 X. The S1 X is the entry point to the Ola family. 'We recently commenced the deliveries of our mass-market S1 X portfolio, which addresses the high upfront cost of purchasing an EV, one of the biggest barriers to the adoption of EVs,' said Anshul Khandelwal, Chief Marketing Officer, Ola Electric Technologies.
