Oben Electric, an electric two-wheeler start-up based in Bengaluru, has announced its entry into three additional Indian cities. The company started selling the Rorr electric motorcycle on a commercial basis in Bengaluru last year. Since then, it has expanded to Delhi-NCR, Pune, and Kerala. The company is aggressively growing its network, with 50 showrooms planned across 12 key cities in FY2025. It recently opened four showrooms in Bengaluru. Oben Electric's first showrooms outside of Bengaluru are in Pitampura, Delhi, and Wakad, Pune, with new ones in Kochi and Trivandrum in Kerala. Apart from the current experience hub at HSR Layout, the company has showrooms in Banashankari, Rajajinagar, and Electronic City in Bengaluru.

The new Oben experience centres will feature immersive customer experiences, an area specifically designed for accessories and merchandise, and interactive spaces.

Oben Rorr: Battery, Specs and More
The Rorr electric motorcycle is the first product offered by Oben Electric. The model comes equipped with a 4.4kWh battery and an 8kW IPMSM motor, yielding an IDC range of 187 kilometres on a single charge. The only way to charge the battery is by using a 15Amp plug, for which you need a 15Amp socket. The motorcycle takes just 2 hours to be fully charged. A potential competitor to 150cc ICE-powered motorcycles in the country, the Rorr is said to have a top speed of 100km/h.
