Hyundai began accepting reservations for the redesigned Creta in India at the beginning of 2024. Soon after, the prices of the facelifted SUV were revealed officially. The ex-showroom, introductory pricing range for the new Creta varies between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 20.15 lakh. In just over a month, the South Korean automaker has received over 51,000 reservations for the updated mid-size SUV since it began accepting bookings in the first week of January. The second-generation Creta, which debuted in 2020, has seen a considerable update and the most recent revamp contributes to its continued dominance within its segment. Regarding powertrain options, the Creta has seven different petrol and diesel engine configurations. Six monotone and one dual-tone exterior hue are available for this five-seater SUV to choose from. The monotone shades comprise Fiery Red, Ranger Khaki, Abyss Black, Atlas White, Titan Grey, and Robust Emerald Pearl. On the other hand, the dual-tone option is offered with a black roof decked in an Atlas White paint job.
New Hyundai Creta: Exterior and Interior Updates
The most recent version of Hyundai's "Sensuous Sportiness" global design language serves as the foundation for the reworked Creta. The front fascia of the vehicle features a reworked grille with a parametric jewel theme, new quad beam LED headlamps, DRLs, and horizon LED positioning lamps. It further has a revised tailgate at the back with integrated taillights that house H-shaped LED components. The new Creta receives a new rear bumper with a bulky bash plate installed. A shark fin antenna, a spoiler situated on the roof, a rear wiper, and a brake lamp on top are additional visual elements.
Just like its predecessor, the latest version of the Creta is laden with a host of conveniences. These include dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless phone charging, ventilated front seats, a Bose premium sound system with eight speakers, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, an eight-way power driver seat, two integrated 10.25-inch units (one for infotainment and another for instrumentation), a leatherette-wrapped gear shifter, a flat-bottom steering wheel, ambient lighting, a 360-degree camera, surround view, and blind spot view monitors.
New Hyundai Creta: Safety Components
Six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), a 360-degree camera, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), three-point seatbelts for all seats, all-wheel disc brakes, hill-start assist control, an emergency stop signal, a front parking sensor, an electric parking brake with auto hold, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) like adaptive cruise control, and lane keep and departure assist, all contribute to the safety of the passengers.
New Hyundai Creta: Engine Options
Three different engine options are offered for the Creta to accommodate a range of driving styles. The first one is a 1.5-litre MPi petrol engine that produces 113bhp and 144Nm. It can be mated to an IVT automatic transmission or a 6-speed manual transmission. Then, there is a 1.5-litre Kappa Turbo GDi petrol mill that delivers 158bhp of maximum power and 253Nm of peak torque when paired only with a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission. Lastly, the 1.5-litre CRDi diesel engine, which generates 250Nm and 114bhp, can be had with a 6-speed AT or 6-speed manual transmission.

The price of the 2024 iteration of the Hyundai Creta ranges from Rs 11 lakh to Rs 20.15 lakh (ex-showroom). Its competitors in the domestic market include the Citroen C3 Aircross, the Volkswagen Taigun, the Honda Elevate, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, the Kia Seltos, and the Skoda Kushaq.
