MG has made its first electric product, the ZS EV, more affordable in India with a new base version. Dubbed the Executive, the new variant costs Rs 18.98 lakh (ex-showroom), which is Rs 1 lakh less expensive than the Excite variant—the previous entry-level model. With this, the car now has four variants: Executive, Excite, Exclusive, and Exclusive Pro. The carmaker has not made any mechanical adjustments. The electrified car still comes with the 50.3kWh battery pack that powers the motor with 173bhp and 280Nm. A 50kW DC fast charger can charge a battery from 0 to 80% in 60 minutes. Further, the EV can travel up to 461 kilometres on a single charge, according to ARAI certification. In addition to the new ZS EV model, MG Motor has lowered the cost of various other cars in India.
