MG Windsor Crosses 20,000 Unit Sales Milestone in India Within Six Months of Launch
MG Windsor, launched under the BaaS initiative, sold 20,000 units in six months, making it India's fastest-selling EV. Prices start at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

JSW MG Motor India made waves in the electric vehicle space with the launch of the Windsor EV in September last year. Notably, it was the first model to debut under the British manufacturer’s Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) initiative. Fast forward six months, and the Windsor EV has surpassed an impressive milestone, with 20,000 units sold – earning the distinction of being the fastest-selling electric vehicle in the country to date. Offered in three variants (Excite, Essence, and Exclusive), the EV is priced from Rs 13.99 lakh with the battery pack, while the version excluding the battery cost is available at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
Commenting on the milestone, Rakesh Sen, Director Sales & Marketing, JSW MG Motor India said, 'Since its launch, the MG Windsor has delighted car buyers with its exceptional value proposition. Customers have praised its futuristic design, intuitive tech features, spacious cabin, all combined with a sustainable and pocket-friendly driving experience. In addition, with the MG Windsor, we have successfully addressed category barriers and dispelled several myths around EVs in India through our innovative approach. This has enabled newer customers to adapt to the EV lifestyle. These factors have propelled MG Windsor to become the fastest EV model to achieve the 20,000 sales milestone in record time.'
