MG's year-over-year retail sales decreased by 1.45% in April. In comparison to 4,551 units supplied in April 2023, the automaker delivered 4,485 units last month, with EVs accounting for 34%. Additionally, the British automaker's sales dropped 3.5% month-on-month. For reference, it delivered 4,648 vehicles in March 2024. MG launched the Hector Blackstorm edition in India for Rs 21.24 lakh (starting, ex-showroom) on April 10. The company claims that the recently launched SUV is getting a favourable response from SUV enthusiasts around the nation. MG Hector Blackstorm Edition: What's New?
The Hector Blackstorm Edition is finished in a starry black colour with red highlights surrounding the headlamps and on the ORVMs. It sports a dark chrome grille, complementing body side cladding, and dark chrome skid plate inlays. Other exterior bits include all-black 18-inch alloy wheels with red brake callipers, smoked taillights, and glossy-black roof rails.
The SUV's interior is all-black, featuring gun metal highlights on the door trims, centre console, air vents, and steering. The front headrests and the steering have the Blackstorm logo. In terms of features, the SUV has a wireless charger, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, and a 14-inch touchscreen entertainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The edition is equipped with six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, front and rear parking sensors, all-wheel disc brakes, a TPMS (tyre pressure monitoring system), and a 360-degree camera for safety.

MG Hector Blackstorm Edition: Under the Bonnet
Mechanically, the Hector Blackstorm Edition retains the same petrol and diesel engine options, including a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel. Both a CVT and a 6-speed manual are available as transmission options.
