MG Motor India in association with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), has opened 12 DC fast charging stations for electric vehicles on the Delhi-Jalandhar route. On both sides of the first MG Motor-BPCL fast-charging highway, charging stations will be established almost after every 100 kilometre. As part of the collaborative venture, MG has installed the charging station at Prem Service Station in Delhi and in 11 other locations. The partnership, according to the reports, will further work on strengthening EV charging infrastructure by installing such stations on more highways shortly. According to MG, it has been working on developing a robust EV ecosystem since the launch of the ZS EV in India. The carmaker believes that establishing 12 new DC fast-charging spots on the country's major highway will result in encouraging customers to transit towards electric mobility. The hassle-free EV charging experience on the highway, according to the firm, will help the country to witness more EV adoption than ever.

Further, the firm has revealed that MG ZS EV owners can benefit from preferential treatment at BPCL stations and other advantages like reduced charging prices by up to 10%. Customers of the MG ZS EV will also be able to find the charging station using the MyMG App and their in-car dashboard, and they can make payments using the HelloBPCL smartphone app.
