Recently, MG Motor India revised prices across its entire model range and officially released the updated pricing list. For those unaware, this is the firm's second price hike following one in May, when it raised the cost of several models. The price of the MG Hector model has increased by up to Rs 60,000. Style, Shine, Smart, Smart EX, Smart Pro, Sharp Pro, and Savvy Pro are the six available variants of the SUV that buyers can choose from. After the most recent price adjustment, the price range for the Hector starts at Rs 15 lakh and goes up all the way to Rs 22.92 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom. In addition to the Hector, even the Hector Plus is now a bit costlier. The latter is now up to Rs 61,000 more expensive to buy. The Hector Plus presently costs between Rs 18 lakh to Rs 23,78 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. Meanwhile, the Gloster SUV received the biggest hike among all the models, making it costlier by up to Rs 78,000 for the highest-spec trim. The price for the Gloster now begins at Rs 38.80 lakh (ex-showroom).

MG Hector: Design and Features
The 2023 MG Hector has an Argyle-inspired diamond mesh grille that continues to the bumper in addition to elegant LED DRLs up front. The split headlamps on the model are identical to the ones on the previous-gen model, but new front and rear skid plates are included. Additionally, the company offers a wide range of exterior colours for the SUV, with a new Dune Brown shade introduced this year. Further, the MG Hector has an updated bumper and LED taillights on the back. With the 2023 version, the carmaker has taken the ADAS and Internet Inside logos from the back. It rides on 18-inch alloy wheels.
Inside the SUV, MG introduced a new white and black dual-tone theme with the facelift. At the centre is a 14-inch touchscreen. It boasts revamped air conditioning vents. Besides, the instrument cluster is totally digital. The start/stop button, the ventilated seat button next to the gear level, and the various 360-camera viewing options are some of the other noticeable interior features. More than 50 connected car features are included in its sophisticated i-Smart connectivity package. It includes an inbuilt M2M SIM. Voice commands can be used to start the SUV, open and close the sunroof, and turn on and off the climate control. Level 2 ADAS is a significant upgrade included in the 2023 Hector. The suite comprises functions including adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, forward collision warning with emergency braking, traffic jam assist, and high-beam assist.
MG Hector: Powertrain Details
The SUV is powered by 1.5-litre gasoline and 2.0-litre diesel engines that have been modified to comply with BS6 Phase 2 norms. While the latter cranks out 168bhp of maximum power and 350Nm of peak torque, the former delivers 141bhp and 250Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. A six-speed transmission is standard, with a CVT gearbox available solely with turbo-petrol engines.

MG Gloster SUV: Engine and Feature Set
A BS6 Phase II-compliant diesel engine is housed inside the MG Gloster. Its turbo-diesel and twin-turbo versions of its 2.0-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine are both available. The 2.0-litre turbodiesel engine has a maximum output of 161bhp and a peak torque of 375Nm, while the twin-turbo unit can generate 215bhp and 480Nm of maximum torque. All four wheels receive power from the SUV's 8-speed automatic transmission.
A panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, ventilated front seats, a 12-way power driver seat with a massage function, and an ADAS safety system are just a few of the features the Gloster offers. Furthermore, it includes an infotainment system with a 12.2-inch touchscreen that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
