In March 2023, Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) was the top automaker in India once more—and by a wide margin. This was even though the automaker experienced lower sales both in terms of YoY and MoM. March 2023 saw 1,32,763 units sold in the domestic market as a whole, a 1 per cent YoY decrease from the 1,33,861 units sold in March last year. There was a 10 per cent MoM decline from the 1,47,467 units sold in February 2023. Further, from 41.7 per cent held in the same month last year, the market share decreased by 2.1 per cent YoY to 39.5 per cent in March 2023. The company's Swift hatchback was its best-selling model. From 13,623 units sold in March 2022 to 17,559 units sold in March 2023, sales increased by 29 per cent YoY. However, MoM sales decreased by 5 per cent from 18,412 units sold in February 2023. The Maruti Suzuki Swift facelift is currently undergoing testing, with a launch slated for next year.

This April, a few Maruti Suzuki dealers are giving customers discounts on a range of models. These benefits are available at Nexa and Arena showrooms in the form of cash discounts, exchange bonuses, and corporate discounts. Let's take a look at the offers available on popular Maruti Suzuki models like the Swift and the Wagon R.
Maruti Suzuki Swift: Discounts and Benefits up to Rs 65,000
The LXi and AMT variants of the Maruti Suzuki Swift are available with a cash discount of Rs 10,000, an exchange bonus of Rs 20,000 as well as a corporate discount of Rs 15,000. The maximum cash discount available for the CNG variants is Rs 10,000. For all other Maruti Suzuki Swift variants, there are cash discounts worth Rs 30,000, exchange bonuses of Rs 20,000, and corporate discounts of Rs 15,000 available. This month, the company won't be giving the Brezza any discounts.
The 1.2-litre, naturally aspirated engine in the Maruti Suzuki Swift produces 89bhp of maximum power and 113Nm of peak torque. Additionally, this engine can be paired with a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT gearbox. A range of features, including idle engine start/stop, electronic stability control (ESC), hill start assist, projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights, fog lamps, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, analogue instrument cluster with colour MID, cruise control, auto-folding ORVM, auto temperature control, a rearview camera with parking sensors, dual airbags, ABS, EBD, and connected car features through Suzuki Connect are included in the Maruti Suzuki Swift.
Maruti Suzuki Wagon R: Discounts and Benefits up to Rs 25,000
For the month of April 2023, Maruti Suzuki is providing discounts on the Wagon R up to Rs 25,000. The CNG-powered models are also eligible for these discounts across the board. Offers differ from outlet to outlet and from state to state. The select variants of the 1.0-litre manual gearbox Wagon R models are offered with a standard discount of Rs 30,000 and corporate benefits of Rs 4,000. Depending on the age of the vehicle being exchanged, some dealerships are also providing an exchange bonus ranging from Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000.
The Wagon R's 1.0-litre CNG-powered models are offered with a standard discount of Rs 15,000 and a corporate discount of Rs 4,000 (select variants only). Depending on the car being exchanged, you can also receive an exchange bonus ranging from Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000.

A SmartPlay Studio system with navigation is included with the 2022 Wagon R. The system has four speakers and can also be used with a smartphone. Steering-mounted controls are another upgrade to the feature list. There are more than 12 safety features in the Wagon R. Hill Hold Control for AMT models, Dual Airbags as standard equipment, ABS with EBD, Seat Belt with Pre-tensioner and Force Limiter, Seat Belt Reminder with Buzzer, Speed Alert System, Speed-sensitive Auto Door Lock, Rear Parking Sensors, Central Locking, Childproof Rear Door Lock, Security Alarm, and Front Fog Lamps are just a few of the 12+ safety features offered by the vehicle.
The K12C-powered Wagon R in MT form receives a standard benefit of Rs 25,000, but there is none for the AMT-powered models, indicating that it is the fastest-moving Wagon R variant. There are corporate offers of up to Rs 4,000 and an exchange benefit of Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 for both the automatic and manual models with this engine.
