Maruti Suzuki has implemented a price hike of Rs 5,000 for select variants of its popular entry-level hatchback, the S-Presso. This revision specifically affects the VXi (O) AMT and VXi (O)+ AMT trims, while the cost for all other variants remains unaffected. The increase comes as part of the company’s periodic price adjustments, potentially influenced by rising input costs and evolving market dynamics. With a price range of Rs 4.26 lakh to Rs 6.11 lakh, the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso competes with the Renault Kwid and the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10. Both mentioned prices are ex-showroom. The hatchback is available in six exterior colour options: Metallic Granite Grey, Metallic Silky Silver, Pearl Starry Blue, Solid Sizzle Orange, Solid Fire Red, and Solid White.

Powering the BS6 Phase II-compliant Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is a 1.0-litre K10C petrol engine, delivering 67bhp of maximum power at 5,500rpm and a peak torque of 89Nm at 3,500rpm. The hatchback is available with both a five-speed manual and an AMT gearbox, offering a claimed fuel efficiency of 25.30km/l for the AMT variant and 24.6km/l for the manual.

When running on CNG, the engine output drops to 56bhp and 82Nm, with an impressive fuel efficiency of approximately 32.7km/kg, paired exclusively with a five-speed manual transmission.
