Maruti Suzuki has announced the launch of its new telematics solution called Suzuki Connect. It will be available for the cars which are sold through the Nexa retail network - Ciaz, Baleno, S-Cross and Ignis. The system costs ₹9,999 for a three year subscription.
Suzuki Connect is an advanced integrated safety and connected car solution which offers features such as vehicle tracking, emergency alerts, live vehicle status, driving behaviour analysis and preventive maintenance calls. The telematics control unit (TCU) has been designed to offers customers improved safety, security and user-friendly connected car experience.
Suzuki Connect is developed in India and claims to be extensively tested, learning from driving behaviour and challenges faced by Indian customers. The system is deeply embedded making it difficult to tamper, while it also sports end to end data encryption.
It exchanges information through a cellular network with a centralised server, which is connected to the Nexa customer care. It can also be configured to send information to up to 5 selected users in case of emergency.

Unlike other OBD based telematics solutions available in market, Suzuki Connect is a TCU based solution which is better, safer and more user friendly”.
