Maruti Suzuki Jimny SUV Waiting Period Reaches up to 7 Months in India

Maruti Suzuki revealed the new Jimny at the recent Auto Expo in India. Following that, it launched the much-awaited 5-door SUV in June, with the price beginning at Rs 12.74 lakh for the standard model, and going to Rs 15.05 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec automatic version. The lifestyle off-roader has been making headlines in the industry since its debut because of several reasons, and the increased booking amount from Rs 11, 000 to Rs 25,000 is one of them. In a recent development, we got hands over the waiting period for the SUV, which stands at 24 weeks to 26 weeks from the day of reservation.
In terms of the engine, the off-roader houses a 1.5-litre, naturally aspirated K15B petrol unit that delivers 103bhp of maximum power at 6,000rpm and 134Nm of peak torque at 4,000rpm. A 4-speed automatic and a 5-speed manual gearbox are available transmission choices.
