In June 2024, Maruti Suzuki is offering steep discounts on its popular off-roader, the Jimny. The available offers for the lifestyle SUV go up to Rs 1.5 lakh. The model comes in two variants, Zeta and Alpha, and has a starting price of Rs 12.74 lakh (ex-showroom). The Alpha variant receives direct cash discounts of up to Rs 1.5 lakh, while the Zeta variant enjoys official consumer advantages of up to Rs 50,000. These benefits are standard on both manual and automatic variants. In our home market, the Jimny competes with vehicles such as the Mahindra Thar and the Force Gurkha.

Maruti Suzuki Jimny: Engine and Gearbox Options
Under the hood, there is a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated K15B petrol engine, generating 134Nm of peak torque at 4,000rpm and 103bhp of maximum power at 6,000rpm. A five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic gearbox handles the gearbox duties, providing power to all four wheels using Maruti Suzuki's AllGrip Pro 4WD system, which includes a manual gearbox case and a low-range gearbox with 2WD-high, 4WD-high, and 4WD-low modes.
The lifestyle off-roader has an estimated fuel efficiency rating of 16.94km/l for the five-speed manual gearbox and 16.39km/l for the four-speed automatic gearbox.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny: Design and Colour Options
On the design front, the model sports round headlights, a slatted grille, slab-sided doors, upright pillars, flared wheel arches, off-road tyres, and other design elements. The SUV rides on 15-inch alloy wheels with 195/80 section tyres.
The Jimny comes in seven exterior paint jobs, which include five monotone options (Bluish Black, Granite Grey, Pearl Arctic White, Sizzling Red, and Nexa Blue) and two dual-tone options (Kinetic Yellow with Black Roof and Sizzling Red with Black Roof).

Maruti Suzuki Jimny: Feature List
The Jimny comes with a 7.0-inch touchscreen, Smartplay Pro infotainment system, 4-speaker stereo system, Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a rear defogger, a colour MID display, a limited-slip differential, and power windows.
For safety, it gets six airbags, side-impact door beams, hill hold and descent control, seatbelt pre-tensioners, a rearview camera, 3-point emergency locking retractor seatbelts, an anti-lock braking system, electronic brakeforce distribution, brake assist, and ISOFIX child seat anchors as standard.
