For the month of March 2024, Maruti Suzuki is offering attractive discounts and benefits on its Nexa model, the Jimny. The MY23 Jimny comes with a cash discount of up to Rs 1.50 lakh, while the MY24 units of the off-roader are available with a cash benefit of Rs 50,000. On top of that, there is a corporate discount as well, with the amount set at Rs 3,000; however, it depends on the eligibility criterion. Also, note that these offers may vary from city to city and are subject to stock availability. Maruti Suzuki offers the Jimny in two broad variants – Zeta and Alpha, with prices ranging from Rs 12.74 lakh to Rs 14.79 lakh (ex-showroom).
Maruti Suzuki Jimny: Powertrain
Underneath the skin, there is a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated K15B petrol engine, which produces 134Nm of peak torque at 4,000rpm and 103bhp at 6,000rpm. The transmission duties are taken care of by either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic gearbox, sending power to all four wheels through Maruti Suzuki’s AllGrip Pro 4WD system consisting of a manual transfer case and a low-range gearbox with 2WD-high, 4WD-high & 4WD-low modes.

Features-wise, the 5-door SUV gets a multimedia touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, automatic climate control, an electronic stability programme with hill-hold assist and hill descent control, limited slip differential (LSD), ABS with EBD, a rear-view camera, projector headlamps with washers, cruise control, and even 6 airbags on all variants.
Seven exterior colour options are offered with the new Jimny. These include two dual-tone versions (Kinetic Yellow with Black Roof and Sizzling Red with Black Roof) and five monotone options (Bluish Black, Granite Grey, Pearl Arctic White, Sizzling Red, and Nexa Blue).

Maruti Suzuki Sales Performance for Feb. 2024
In other news, Maruti Suzuki reported total sales of 1,97,471 units in February 2024, registering a 15 per cent YoY increase over February 2023's sales volume of 1,72,321 units. The company's entry-level models, the Alto and the S-Presso, continued to reel under stress, with sales plunging to 14,782. Meanwhile, Maruti Suzuki's subcompact cars – Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, Tour S, and WagonR – were delivered to 71,627 buyers, registering a 10 per cent YoY decline last month.
However, a notable 83 per cent YoY growth was recorded by the company's utility vehicles lineup, including the Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, and XL6. The UVs' February 2024 sales stood at 61,234 units as opposed to 33,550 units in February 2023. The only van offered by Maruti Suzuki – Eeco – clocked 12,147 units, denoting an increase of 7 per cent.
