Maruti Suzuki Invicto MPV Waiting Period Reaches up to 8 Months in These Cities

The waiting period for the newly launched Invicto MPV has reached up to 8 months in some cities. Let's take a closer look at which city has got the longest waiting time for the MPV in India.

Maruti Suzuki has introduced the brand-new Invicto in the Indian market at an introductory price of Rs 24.79 lakh (ex-showroom). This opulent MPV is Maruti Suzuki's flagship product in our market. Zeta+ and Alpha+ are the two trim levels available for the car, with Zeta+ offering two seating configurations. The automaker alluded to the MPV's popularity in our market with over 6,000 reservations so far, while speaking with the media on the sidelines of the launch event. In a recent development, the newly launched model's waiting period has circulated online. Several market estimates claim that the MPV waiting times in cities like Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Jaipur are up to 8 months. The Toyota Innova Hycross, the model on which the Invicto is based, has a higher waiting period of up to 15 months.

Maruti Suzuki Invicto: Current Waiting Period

Compared to the Innova Hycross, which has a 12-month wait time in most cities, the recently introduced Invicto has a slightly lower waiting duration of up to 6–8 months. In our market, the Invicto MPV is priced between Rs 24.79 lakh and Rs 28.42 lakh (ex-showroom). Its Japanese twin, the Innova Hycross, meanwhile, is priced from Rs 18.82 lakh to Rs 30.26 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Maruti Suzuki Invicto: Powertrain

As far as powertrain goes, the all-new MPV is propelled by a hybrid powertrain, comprising a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine,  paired with an electric motor. The electric motor has the capacity to produce 11bhp, while the engine can deliver a maximum of 172bhp and a peak torque of 188Nm. When all the power is combined, 183bhp is generated. Further, the only available transmission is an e-CVT unit.

Maruti Suzuki Invicto: Price and Market Competitors

The newest offering by Maruti Suzuki will be accessible in the Zeta+ and Alpha+ variants. The Zeta+ eight-seater model is more costly at Rs 24.84 lakh than the Zeta+ seven-seater iteration, which costs Rs 24.79 lakh. Alpha+, the top-spec version, is offered for Rs 28.42 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom. The Maruti Suzuki Invicto will face direct competition from the Toyota Innova Hycross in our market.
