The waiting period for the Maruti Suzuki Dzire is up to 5 months in the Indian market. Several market reports suggest that the Dzire has been a choice of many Indian buyers in the compact sedan category for a long time. It comes in four variants – LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi Plus – and has a starting price of Rs 6.44 lakh (ex-showroom). Mechanically, the sedan is powered by a 1.2-litre Dualjet petrol engine, which also propels the Swift. The engine delivers 89bhp of maximum power and 113Nm of peak torque and is mated to either a standard 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT transmission. However, with CNG, the sedan offers a reduced output of 76bhp and 98.5Nm and uses only a 5-speed MT gearbox for transmission. It should be noted that depending on the region, dealership, colours, variants, and stock availability, the aforementioned waiting period may change.
