Originally introduced as the Vitara Brezza, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza is a highly sought-after compact SUV in the Indian market. Since its launch, the Brezza has been a competitor of cars like the Kia Sonet and the Tata Nexon, setting sales records in the process. The SUV has now achieved the remarkable milestone of 10 lakh, or a million, units sold in India, eight months after initially hitting the milestone of 9 lakh units sold. From the time of its launch in March 2016 until early December 2023, the Brezza took a total of 94 months, or seven years and eight months, to reach this milestone. In India, the Hyundai Venue, the Tata Nexon, the Kia Sonet, the Mahindra XUV300, the Renault Kiger, the Nissan Magnite, and the Maruti Suzuki Fronx are some of the vehicles that compete with the Brezza SUV. Maruti Suzuki Brezza Sales
It is estimated that the Brezza SUV sold 996,608 units from its March 2016 launch and November 2023—just 3,392 units short of reaching the million benchmark. According to estimates, the Brezza sold 1,11,371 units in the current year between April and November, for an average monthly sales total of 13,921 units, or 3,480 units per week or 497 units each day. The launch of the CNG version in March this year has contributed significantly to an increase in sales.
Maruti Suzuki Brezza: Dimensions and Styling
The Maruti Suzuki Brezza is based on the Global C/Tect platform. As a result, it sits on a wheelbase of 2,500mm, and its length and width stand at 3,995mm and 1,790mm, respectively. Measuring 1,685mm in height, this model is taller than the Tata Nexon. On the design front, the Brezza was created by Maruti Suzuki to mimic a well-proportioned, compact SUV. The styling elements include a powerful bumper, broad wheel arches, wide skid plates, a flat bonnet, and sleek yet straightforward headlamps.
Maruti Suzuki Brezza: Variants and Mechanical Details
The Brezza has a starting price of Rs 8.29 lakh (ex-showroom) in the country and comes in four core variants: LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+. The car's 1.5-litre petrol engine produces 102bhp of maximum power and 137Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the engine of the CNG version generates 86.6bhp and 121.5Nm of torque. The petrol-powered model furthermore has a 6-speed automatic transmission; the CNG model only comes with a 5-speed manual transmission. Moreover, the mild-hybrid system of the Brezza manual provides a fuel efficiency of up to 20.15km/l depending on the variant.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza: Interior and Safety Features
The SUV has a dual-tone black and brown interior theme (all-black for LXi and VXi models). The 9-inch SmartPlay Pro touchscreen infotainment system, instrument cluster, and steering wheel are all similar to those in the Baleno. There's also the Suzuki-connected car technology on higher trim levels, an Arkamys surround sound system, an electric sunroof, a 360-degree camera, wireless charging, a heads-up display, and other conveniences. Additionally, dual airbags and ABS are standard on the SUV. However, the top-of-the-line version comes with six airbags. Other safety features offered with the vehicle comprise hill-hold assist, electronic stability control (ESC), and ISOFIX child seat anchorages.
