Mahindra has announced a price hike for the XUV300 in India, bringing its price up to Rs 14.60 lakh (ex-showroom). The recent price increment spans from Rs 29,900 to Rs 67,600. This is the second price hike since the company updated the SUV to meet BS6 Phase II- and E20-compliance. Meanwhile, the prices of the W4, W6, and W8 (O) AMT dual-tone petrol variants remain unaltered. In March, several car manufacturers updated their models with new engines to meet stricter emission norms from April 1. Even Mahindra brought to the Indian market their XUV300 lineup, which adheres to RDE norms and is compatible with ethanol-based fuel. As a result, the prices of the car went up by Rs 22,000 in March 2023. The XUV300 gets two powertrain options and is available in 4 variants - W4, W6, W8, and W8 (O).

Mahindra XUV300 Petrol Variants: New Prices
The petrol variants (including turbo petrol) of the Mahindra XUV300 have received a price hike, ranging from Rs 29,900 to Rs 34,201. The sub-4m SUV now stands between Rs 8.41 lakh for the entry-level W4 1.2 Petrol version and Rs 13.21 lakh for the top-spec W8 (O) 1.2 Petrol AMT Dual Tone. Prices are ex-showroom. Mahindra XUV300: Powertrain & Performance
The Mahindra XUV300 gets two engine options. There is a 1.2-litre petrol engine, which makes 109bhp of maximum power and 200Nm of peak torque. Then there is a 1.5-litre diesel engine that produces 115bhp of peak power and 300Nm of torque. You can choose between a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed AMT unit.

Mahindra XUV300: Features & Rivals
In terms of safety, the Mahindra XUV300 features 6 airbags, corner braking control, ABS with EBD, and traction control. Other features include dual-zone climate control, a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, steering modes, projector headlamps, LED DRLs, and so on. It competes against the Hyundai Venue, the Kia Sonet, the Tata Nexon, the Renault Kiger, the Nissan Magnite, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, and the Honda WR-V.
