In April this year, Mahindra launched the eagerly awaited XUV300 facelift, going by the new name XUV 3XO. Within one hour of launch, the SUV recorded 50,000 bookings, a noteworthy milestone. The Mahindra XUV 3XO is available at a starting price of Rs 7.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and comes in nine variants: MX1, MX2, MX2 Pro, MX3, MX3 Pro, AX5, AX5 Luxury, AX7, and AX7 Luxury. As far as the waiting period is concerned, new bookings for the model currently attract a waiting duration of four to six months. Mahindra XUV 3XO: Engine Options
Mechanically, the XUV 3XO is available with three engine options: a 1.2-litre mStallion TCMPFi with 110bhp and 200Nm, a 1.2-litre mStallion-TGDi with 129bhp and 230Nm, and a 1.5-litre turbodiesel with 115bhp and 300Nm. Although a manual gearbox is standard on all engines, diesel variants can be outfitted with an automatic six-speed manual. Furthermore, the turbo-petrol variants use an Aisin six-speed torque converter. The SUV accelerates from 0 to 60km/h in 4.5 seconds and achieves a fuel efficiency of up to 20.1km/l. Furthermore, it features three drive modes – Zap, Zoom, and Zip – especially in the fuel-automatic models.
Mahindra XUV 3XO: Features
The Mahindra model features a wide panoramic sunroof called the Skyroof, which is said to be the largest in the market. The SUV also boasts a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with an AdrenoX operating system, first seen in the Mahindra XUV700. Additional amenities include a 7-speaker Harman Kardon system, a revised centre console, traction control, a fully digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, and a new steering wheel.
Mahindra XUV 3XO: Safety Equipment
In addition to the standard six airbags, the XUV 3XO has a 360-degree camera with blind view monitor, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ABS with EBD, and an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) with features like adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and autonomous emergency braking.
Mahindra XUV 3XO: Competition Check
In our market, the XUV 3XO competes with models such as the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza. The pricing ranges from Rs 7.49 lakh to Rs 15.49 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom).
