Mahindra Scorpio N Prices Hiked in India by up to Rs 25,000

The Scorpio N's rivals in the Indian market are the Mahindra XUV700, Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar, and the Mahindra Scorpio Classic.

In India, Mahindra has raised the price of some of its SUV models. The brand has hiked the prices for the popular Scorpio N by up to 25,000. On the other hand, the Mahindra Thar and Bolero Neo have also become expensive by up to Rs 10,000 and Rs 14,000, respectively. A consistent price increase of Rs 25,000 has been implemented for all Scorpio N Z2 and Z4 petrol and diesel models, as well as the Z6 diesel version. Likewise, the Z8 2WD variants with both petrol and diesel drivetrains now cost an extra Rs 10,000 each. Following the latest hike, the Scorpio N now costs between Rs 13.85 lakh and Rs 24.54 lakh (ex-showroom). Prospective buyers may choose from six variants: Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8, Z8S, and Z8L. In terms of dimensions, the SUV is 4,662mm long, 1,917mm wide, 1,857mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2,750mm. When fitted with the smaller 17-inch wheels, the height drops to 1,849mm.

Mahindra Scorpio N: Powertrain Options

Mahindra offers two powertrain options for the Scorpio-N: the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and the 2.2-litre diesel engine. The entry-level diesel engine delivers 300Nm and 130bhp. It can, however, produce up to 173bhp and 300-400Nm in higher-spec configurations. Meanwhile, the 2-litre turbo-petrol engine produces 197bhp and 370/380Nm of torque. The standard transmission is a 6-speed manual, however, some of the more powerful diesel and turbo-petrol models also come with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Although the SUV comes standard with rear-wheel drive (RWD), the 173bhp diesel variant also has a four-wheel drive (4WD) option.

Mahindra Scorpio N: Features 

The top-spec models of the Mahindra Scorpio-N come equipped with wireless charging, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dual-zone climate control, a 12-speaker 3D Sony sound system, front and rear cameras, a 6-way power-adjustable driver seat, cruise control, auto start-stop, an electric sunroof, type-C USB ports for the first and second rows, keyless entry, and connected car technology.  What3Word, which works with Alexa, is an option that lets you set your location with just three words. All other models feature a seven-seat configuration, except for the top-spec Z8 L model, which boasts an optional 6-seat configuration with captain seats in the second row.

Mahindra Scorpio N: Safety Suite and Market Competitors

The safety features of the Scorpio-N include six airbags, ESP, traction control, hill hold control, hill descent control, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and driver drowsiness monitoring.
