Mahindra Scorpio N, Classic: Waiting Period
The waiting period for the Scorpio N's entry-level Z2 petrol and diesel models has decreased to just one month, a significant drop from the over five-month wait seen a few months ago. The Z4 petrol-AT now boasts the shortest delivery time (under a month). Conversely, the higher-spec Z8 S variant has the longest wait, reaching up to 2.5 months, regardless of the engine or transmission choice. Buyers of the mid-range diesel Z4 and Z6 can expect to wait around 1.5 months, while those choosing the top Z8 and Z8 L variants will have a shorter wait of about a month. Previously, the Scorpio Classic buyers faced lengthy waits of 4-5 months for the S11 variant and up to 2 months for the entry-level S trim, but delivery times have now reduced to about a month and a half.
Mahindra Scorpio N, Classic: Powertrain Options
Mahindra provides two powertrain choices for the Scorpio-N: a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. The base diesel engine offers 130bhp and 300Nm of torque, but in higher trims, it can generate up to 173bhp and between 300 and 400Nm. On the other hand, the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine delivers 197bhp and 370/380Nm of torque. The standard transmission is a six-speed manual, although some of the more powerful diesel and turbo-petrol variants come with a six-speed automatic transmission. While the SUV typically features rear-wheel drive (RWD), the 173bhp diesel version also includes a four-wheel drive (4WD) option.
The Classic features a 2.2-litre turbodiesel engine, delivering 130bhp of peak power and 300Nm of torque. However, this Mahindra model does not come with an automatic transmission, all-wheel drive, or a transfer case for 4x4 functionality.
