Mahindra has raised the cost of its famous SUV—the Scorpio-N—in India. The price hike ranges from Rs 600 to Rs 39,300, depending on the variant. After the most recent price hike, the base Z2 petrol MT 7S variant of the Scorpio-N is now available for Rs 13.60 lakh, and the higher-spec Z8L diesel AT 4WD 7S variant is priced at Rs 24.54 lakh. Both are ex-showroom prices.

Mahindra Scorpio-N: Mechanical and Other Key Details

The 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and the 2.2-litre diesel engine are the two powertrain options offered by the Mahindra for the Scorpio-N. In the entry-level versions, the diesel engine produces 300Nm and 130bhp. It can, however, produce up to 173bhp and 300–400Nm in the higher-spec variants. Meanwhile, the 2-litre turbo-petrol motor generates 197bhp and 370Nm/380 Nm of performance figures. The standard gearbox is a 6-speed manual, but some of the more powerful diesel and turbo-petrol units are also available with a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Although the SUV comes standard with rear-wheel drive (RWD), the 173bhp diesel model is available with a four-wheel drive (4WD) option.

The SUV has five core variants: Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8, and Z8L, and is available in two six-seater and seven-seater configurations. An 8-inch touchscreen, cruise control, an electric sunroof, a 12-speaker Sony 3D surround sound system, wireless charging, dual-zone climate control, ESC, hill-hold assist, and a 360-degree camera are among some features of the SUV.

A few new Mahindra vehicles will likely make their way to India this year. Here are some of the upcoming Mahindra cars in India:

Mahindra Thar 5-Door

The five-door Mahindra Thar is scheduled to go on sale this year. It will be available with the same powertrain options as its three-door predecessor, including a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engine. However, market reports suggest that Mahindra may adjust or upgrade these engines to boost output. The SUV will most likely be available in both rear-wheel and four-wheel drive configurations. Modifications like a 10-inch touchscreen, a refreshed armrest, a reworked steering wheel, and speakers mounted on the roof are expected to be included.

Although the exact specifications remain unknown, the car is said to have a wheelbase of 2,762mm and a length of around 4,740mm.
